Â
Join the FSPH Career and Professional Development Office for a casual lunch and an informal discussion on job searching during transitional times. Our discussion will include professional relationship building goals (e.g. job, mentorship), best practices for reciprocal strategies, and ideas for expanding (and nurturing!) your community.
Â
The U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics reports over 70% of jobs are obtained through professional relationships. However, the buzz word "professional networking" can often seem like an ambiguous, daunting term, which can cause dread or avoidance of the concept altogether. The good news is that professional networking is really just leveraging your community!Â
Start growing your community with us as we kick off Professional Development Week!
Please email Kristy Sherrer, Director of the FSPH Career and Professional Development Office, at ksherrer@ph.ucla.edu with any questions.Â
Lunch will be provided!
Â
